The accuracy of predicting camber and prestress losses in long-span bridges can be improved when measured values of concrete material properties are used.
The test method is useful during mixture development and prior to concrete placement in the field.
After filling the slump cone, the hollow cylinder is aligned in the center of the cone and lowered onto the concrete surface.1.3 The text of this standard references notes and footnotes that provide explanatory material.These notes and footnotes (excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirements of the standard.Therefore, this test method is considered applicable to self-consolidating concrete having coarse aggregate up to 25 mm [1 in.] in size.
